I would take the Ham transmitter Valiant. Provides 150 watt carrier and swings to 300 watts. But a CB amp three or four final tube amp with driver tube does as much or more power out.

I had (and have) a Messenger 124. It's solid-state. Back in the day it was the only radio I had that helped block out bleedover from a close neighbor. Excellent adjacent channel rejection
