Is there anything that can be done to this radio besides turning up the modulation pot inside the radio or running a Demco, to get some more modulation out of this radio? It is pretty anemic. I have changed tubes as well. But the audio is not up to par like it should be. Thinking maybe a few resistors could be changed in the audio circuit to boost a little bit? Thank you for any suggestions . ( I have run amplified microphone into the radio, and the stock microphone with a Demco and the audio is still not where it should be like it is on another sonar that I have. )

A peaked Sonar FS-3023 produces about 12 watts peak output with the clipper bypassed. You cannot get any more modulation. A Regency Range Gain with the two push pull modulator tubes produces a 2 watt carrier and swings to 15 watts out. It was specially designed for a lot of modulation. The Sonar FS-2340 also has push pull modulator unlike the FS-3023 and producesws about 15 watts peak out.
