I need to replace the 2SC1969 final in one of my radios and I've been told that the 2SC2312 can be a good replacement . I'm actually trying to find an original 2SC1969 , and someone offered me a 2SC1969P . So at the risk of looking stupid I'm going to ask ... does anyone know what the difference between the 2SC1969 and the 2SC1969P is ?? Can the 2SC1969P be used to replace the 2SC1969 ?

The 2SC1969, 2SC2312, and the 2SC1307 are pretty much interchangeable. They are also somewhat hard to get and expensive. There are a bunch of Chinese knockoffs out there that are cheap, but they don't work worth a damn. Be careful to get a genuine part.

Thanks Sandbagger .... I'm really hoping to find a 2SC1969 final , or a 2SC2312 final . Because there are so many cheap knock-off's , and so many people selling bad parts ... I'm having a hard time finding a dependable place to purchase one of these from .

Check out Barketts. He states they are original ones that he sells. RF parts may be a place to check also.

I had thought that our local Radio Doctor had retired from working on radios long ago . But I recently discovered that he was still in business . So I took a few radios to him ... and thankfully , they are now being repaired the proper way .... by a person that I greatly trust to work on my radios .
