Correct me if Im wrong but does the Simba have a always on noise limiter? And if so how can it be bypassed?

From that, I think that if you remove that diode D28 (that says ANL right under it) that might do it. It would sure stop any limiting effect that diode is applying.

A look at the schemo for nearly any AM CB will show the ANL switch "off" position is the closed position. Shorting across that diode is what bypasses it. If you choose to remove it, replace it with a jumper wire. And if you want to put an "OFF" switch in the radio for the ANL, you need to use shielded two-conductor wire. Both sides if the switch will be hot to ground. The shielding is needed to prevent the audio circuits from picking up stray noises or hum inside the radio.
