Hey fellow members. I recently scored a half decent Dak x but its in need of a few things. I need a good back panel. The back panel was drilled on this with a bunch of holes and a fan was installed. I took it out. It was noisy and not changing anything. Also need a good flip switch knob or the whole switch. I need a good channel display. Mine has a bad segment. Finally, a knob for the volume, squelch or clarifier. Only need 1 knob. Please message me at sizzlerscars@aol.com. thanks guys and all the good numbers!

At this point in time if you are looking for parts for your Dak X, your best bet is either Ebay or find a DAK Facebook group.

Solid-state DAK are too unreliable to consider. Get a tube CB instead.

Never had much trouble with my Dak 10. It's 42 years old. Recapped it 20 years ago. Trams, had my fill of them. Sound great but total junk. I think they used Elmer's glue to hold the traces on the board. the channel selector is truly a POS. Best bet would be to pay too much money for 2 D201A's and get both overhauled $$$. That way you have a spare when one breaks.
