people on ebay get crazy with antenna prices been seeing PDL II's with a buy now price of $350.00 to $400.00. i remember buying PDL II's from Crazy Harveys CB Shop in Tammonimum MD. back in the 70's for only $99.00. $800 for a Moonraker 4 thats nuts. you'd really go bonkers if you accedently snap one of those pot metal hub ears while putting it togeather then trying to find a 800 number to call Avanti for a replace ment.

People on Ebay are greedy. If people don't pay the high prices, the sellers will lower them or they'll never sell. The sales that make me laugh the most are the so called 'estate' sales. You take a big risk buying any electronics from those guys on ebay.

There are people who do make replacement hubs. But I agree; that's way too much for a Moonraker IV.
