found a antenna but it says STINGER is missing.....what part of antenna is stinger?
can it be replaced or isnt worth the hassel?
magnet mount wilson 5000....says its missing from box (stinger)...$52 asking bid

I take it that the antenna is up for auction. I wouldn't bid on it if there's parts missing.

copy that ! was curious...... whats difference from 1000 to wil 5000....whip lenght or/and base of antenna?(not magnet)

The main difference is the Wilson 5000 will handle more wattage through than the Wilson 1000. The stinger is the metal whip that comes out of the coil. It should be 62" long, but a 66" stinger can be used if you transmit on lower frequencies. The coil on the 5000 is a little larger than the 1000. There is no real big difference in performance from one to the other with the exception of wattage handled.
The selling price for the Wilson 5000 mag. mount is between $80 to $85 complete. If you buy a stinger it will cost you about $15
