i just tryed to load up my kenwood ts-440s on 20 meter with my joegunn smoking gunn 2 . and it worked... i made a contack with less SP9ljd over in poland . i have talk to him over 50 times in the last two years.. i ask him for a true report back and he gave me a 5/8 back ....he was a 5/9 to me ... but i was seeing 150 watts on my meter .i have never seen that be for .. it's always been 100 watts .. my alc was within the scale .mic gain was 1/4 and useing the MC60 desk mic .. is all this normal??? or should i stop .and just use the joegunn on 10 meter . i don't want to damage my little hf rig .. even tho i also have the ts-820s and a ts-930s .. but seeing 150 watt that got me a little consern.. my reg hf ant is a windom wire it 40 high and it's 260 foot long . and when i put the 440 on the wire i always see 100 wats ....oh ya i had the beam on the horz side and the hole thing is up a round 25 feet .. has any one ever tryed doing this ???all this was around 9pm thursday.... now when i talk to poland i was on 14.300. after that i move the vfo to 14. 250 and i saw the same thing.. but i had to hit the AT tune button. after that i moved to vfo a few kz and i had to keep hitting the AT tune . but it would tune up quick. so it's telling me that it will tune but as soon as i move the vfo i haft to retune ...the feed line is rg58 and it's around 60 foot long.. so what do you think?? will this be ok or should i stop useing the joegunn on 20 and leve it just for 10 meter . ?? oh i did forget to feel the feed line to see if it was warm ... any one???
