Like a dummy I went & sold my AL-KEN 858 VFO awhile ago. I put a Glen 326 on my Mark III, but it's very unstable. So I tried my old trusty/rusty Golden Eagle Mark I transmitter & ..COOL BEANS, it works!. I have many low freq. xtals like 26.915 already in it . The receiver has the 31.100, 31.400, & 31.700 in it. Now I'm good to go if the band ever opens up. Many years ago I tried hooking a Mark II xmitter to a Mark one rec. & burnt up a resistor.

Hey Bob,
This is the combo that I've been running for about nine months now, because my Mk 3 RX has the expanded receive range opened up and the Mk 3 TX is snafu'd, while the Mk I TX was reworked by Greg a couple of years ago. Other than the RX's "On Air" light not lighting on transmit, it's worked very well for me with no failures to date. Good luck and 73...

Hey Bob! are you back "in town" or is this a just a short break from the Drive-In? If you're back, don't forget to give us a holler on Wednesday nights for the Roundup on 13. We miss you guys down in south Jersey. Now that the summer E skip seems to be fading away, we might get to do some long distance direct shots again......

Hi, Tick! I was @ the hamfest last Sunday. I was looking for you. I saw a nice Robyn 123B new in the box on your table. Heres my table. I sold everything except the Cobra 139, the two Silky 1011D's, & the PA horn. ..took home over a "K".

Bob,
You should of said hi. That Robyn is mine and I have it up for sale on ebay. I sold my Icom 746 there, too. We had a great day. Positive responses from people on the hamfest.
