You mean like this? I have a few of these left like the one in the pic. Probably ought to put one of them up in the "For Sale" section. 73

Put them in the for sale section 2600 ! Sure there would be buyers since that is alot better readout than trying to read the standard type dial on the vfo with old eyes. I know my PAL is hard to see. Sniper

Or like that. In all fairness, that pic is from 2003. All of those are long, long gone. But it's a chicken-or-egg thing. If I sell enough of the digitized Siltronix 80/90s I can afford to finish a batch of the build-in synthesizers that will go inside a Mark III. Or a Mark IV. Or the external ones for the Mark III. Gotta be careful not to say too much about "what's next" before I sell enough of "what's on hand". If everybody sits on their hands waiting for what's next, the cash flow to build what's next never happens. Kinda like what happened to the Osborne Computer Company. They borrowed every penny they could building version 3. Then they announced the version 4. Oops. Sales of version 3 went down the toilet. The company's sales would no longer pay their bills and went under forever. The Osborne 4 never got produced beyond the first sample run. I'll shoot some pics of another one of these, and put it up on this forum to sell. Don't like to use a "generic" picture. Better to show the exact item being offered. 73

Well, that just sorta figures. What sold out first last time we made these was the external. So I concentrated my attention on getting that one available first, ahead of the 'internal' versions. Still working on finding a cabinet design that's not quite so ugly as this. Biggest missing link is the lack of any installation info for the internal Mark III setup. Getting me to write or update a web page is like pulling teeth right now. No way I'll sell that one and say 'figure it out yourself". Too easy to blow it up. Only takes one wrong wire in a radio with a 350-Volt power supply to totally fricasee a solid-state accessory. Looks like maybe I should concentrate some effort onto the internal option. Never claimed to be a marketing expert. 73

The digitized Siltronix sliders have had the original dial removed and replaced with a standard-type digital display originally sold to plug into the rear of Galaxy, Connex and other mobile radios with a 6-pin plug on the rear.
We remove the guts from the Galaxy "FC-347" or "FC-390" and install them in place of the original analog dial.
The pre-programmed math that makes it read frequency full-time on a Galaxy or Connex mobile radio just happens to match the math for a Browning Mark III SSB transmitter.
We also install a buffer amplifier in the thing so that the drive level into the Mark III crystal selector is high enough to maintain full power. The stock Siltronix slider's drive level is way too low for that radio.

Would it be out of line of the forum rules to ask approximate cost? I'm very interested.

Oops..
That one sold.
But I have one more model 90 like that one left.
I'll post it in the for-sale section soon as I can get pictures of THAT one shot and uploaded. Don't like to use a "generic" photo for a sale item.
Price will be the same. $170 cash, as in US Postal money order, or $178 via PayPal. Don't have any other payment options to offer.
