OK. I as working my Radio Club hamfest, and one of the members hands me a General Radiotelephone CB that he somehow got toward the end. It is a black unit with 5 channels. Has anyone ever heard of these?

I remember General Radio Telephone from sometime back in the day. Seems to me that they made various models but I don't know anything about them.

I have several... I bought them back in the 80's. They are good radios with a decent receiver and noise limiter. They all have great high level modulation!! There is one drawback to them. They all emit quite a dirty signal which will cause you and your neighbor's TV's and appliances to go into major convulsions. When it came to generating TVI, a General Radiotelephone could not be beat! But they do sound good on air! I always got great audio reports on mine.
