That would require you to change the ping cap in the receiver. If I remember correctly, you increase the caps value to get a longer ping. Word of caution. If the ping is to long it takes a toll on the receiver.

Check out my August 11, 2009 inquiry on page 4 or 5 of this forum. Bionic Chicken's recipe for a two-stage ping on a switch is posted there. That way, you can keep the short ping for local QSOs without driving your friends insane and the longer ping for skip.
