Been absent quite awhile and slowly getting back up to speed with the web. Missed all you folks whom I've come to regard as my extended family.
Serious auto accident 04/14/09 knocked the props out from under me and before I could fully recover, diabetes nearly took me completely out. I'm just now getting the latter under control, stabilized, and I'm doing pretty good. Previously, it's been touch and go; I've done no radioing (new puppy ate all my patch cords and WM1 cable), and have just recently become sporadically active on the web. It's been all I could manage just keeping my head above water with work and domestic obligations, and everything else got relegated to the back burner.
All that changed on the 15th when I picked up my D201As from Woodworker at Custom CB Radios in Terre Haute and my friend Alan (Fixr) showed up for the USAC races, to deliver some back-in-the day equipment he'd repaired, and do some bushwhacking to locate a local historic railroad site. During the course of another great visit, I located some more patch cords, another meter, and got some equipment fired back up. As always, we had a great time and he took another load of equipment back home with him for repair/service; my HW D201, D201As, a couple of meters, and other odds and ends. I am really thrilled with the work Alan's done for me over the years....great tech as well as an all-around great guy I'm proud to have as my friend. Check this stuff out:
All of that put me in the mood to tighten the cinch and get back in the saddle. So, while I'm catching back up, y'all take care and thanks for allowing me to participate.
