I have nothing on the Northstar microphone. Can you open the mic and take a photo of the keying switch?

If you don't have a wiring chart for the mic you can still wire it yourself. You'll need this information, stock mic wiring:
1- audio 2- shield 3-transmit 4- Receive.
If the colors are the same the mic might wire right up. The red and black are for receive and transmit, cant' tell you which goes to what pin so you'll have to experiment. What ever wire has the shield wrappd around it is the audio wire, usually white. If the wire with the shield is another color, that will still be the audio wire. Connect this wire to pin 1. Connect the shield to pin 2. As for the transmit and receive wire you'll need a tester that will show continuity. With the mic unkeyed, test for full continuity. Connect the tester to the shield, If the black wire makes the radio receive. If nothing reads on the meter then connect to the red wire. Which ever wire makes the radio receive, solder it onto the plug. The red wire will have to be tested too. Connect your tester to the wire and key the mic, it should read full continuity. That will be the transmit wire and solder it to the plug. This is just a guess, you might have to switch a couple of wires around so good luck.
