now its time for a irritating some ham people and amusing the rest of you. Has anybody in here ever tried to mount a vertical antenna such as a hustler 4btv, or even a big stick in the horizontal posistion either by choice or a accident? just wondering, seems i want to satisfy my curiosity, as im thinking o\f mounting a vertical in the attic of my no antenna condo. thanks for any and all answers. larry olsen wa9leo[glow=red,2,300][/glow]

Ive ran a antron 99 at about a 45 degree angle in the attic of my old condo and got out pretty decent. I would waste the money on a hustler. Antennas are sub par at best. The tune very narrow banded. They suck vertical so i can only imagine horizontal.

You can make a dipole antenna (or buy one if you don't want to do the work) to hang in you attic easily enough. www.qsl.net/af4ps/iad.html
