Rookie mistake - in the heat of chasing DX I disconnected the antenna from the 2510 and got jumpers crossed hooking up my Kenwood. 100 watts up the 2510's hot little butt. 2510 ain't happy anymore. I took out the MRF477 (at a minimum). Digikey and Mouser (my usual sources) no help. RF parts @ $48.50 with shipping. Anyone have a MRF477 or MRF497 that their willing to part with or have a source that ain't crazy on prices?

Anyone have a MRF477 or MRF497 that their willing to part with or have a source that ain't crazy on prices? Well, free market 1-0-1 states that price is dictated by supply and demand. The part hasn't been made in a few years and the supply is slowly drying up, while demand remains the same. So the price is rising accordingly. Most people who have any stock left, will either want a similar price, or would rather hold on to them for their own spares..... Have you tested the part, and confirmed that it is bad? The reason I ask is that there are a couple of diodes which shunt the RF away from the receiver. If they shorted as a result of the "accident", it may prevent your transmitter from putting out the proper power.
