hi, does any one have experience with uhf quads made like a hf quad beam. i'm interested in a beam quad built like a moonraker. i looked and they have yagi design boom based. but no boom based quads only phased arrases. and based on driven elements with reflector plates, grids or parabolic dishes. thanks for any input. ;D

I think this might be something in the right direction for you. It was a lot of loops on a single boom. The right sized rings and spacings for your band and you should be in business. Look it up.

thank you , for your input. this is some what like what i was looking for. i know from my past studies of rf energy. that a quad antenna built like a yagi. yields a better pattern of radiation with out being as high up, as yagies like elevation. again thanks for your input.

Dave,
Please move this thread. Should have been posted under TRC-451. My mistake.
Jacobs,
Not worth it on Washington and 2000. Buy the adapter instead. They are like $5 on ebay. Much better.
