i have a tecraft falcon mark 4 radiotelephone.i can't seem to find much info on it other than a few things on cbtricks.are these good radios?i am thinking they must be fairly rare because its the only one i have ever seen.the radio still receives and may even transmit if i knew how to wire a microhone to it.the radio has no mic plug, the microphone has to be hardwired to the chassie.

Yes, they are pretty rare. I think they only made 2 or 3 models of CB's back in the early 1960's. I would think that they are of fairly good quality.
Tecraft also made business band and ham equipment back then.
There should be only 3 connections for the mic. A switching wire going to the relay, the audio wire heading to the microphone amplifier circuit, and the audio sheild going to ground.
The Mark V (Although it has more channels) may be close circuitry-wise, so get a copy of that manual off of CBTricks, and compare the tube layout, etc. The schematic may be close enough to help you.

Judging by the brochure on CBtricks, it looks like they private labeled a white Turner 350C for the Mark 4.

yeah, the radio had the turner mic with it when i got the radio, but due to age the wires in the mic were shorting out inside the jacket so i unhooked it and lost the mic.now i cant remember the wireup.lol.it still recieves good other than a slight filter cap hum.seems like it was only doing 1 or 2 watts before i removed the microphone.
