I picked this up today from a friend. It appears to have a channel mod in it (notice the knob on the left side of the radio). I think the anl/nb buttons may be part of the band selection setup. I've had no time today to put a frequency counter on it and figure out the road map for it.

I've had no time today to put a frequency counter on it and figure out the road map for it. I had one of those back in the 80's and 90's. It had to be my favorite radio to modify. Lots of frequency capabilities in there. Works really well on the lower portion of 10 meters as well.

i think that radio is probably one of radio shacks best radios. i have had 2 of them over the years. there is a audio mod that you can do to them and the robyn 520d, ( same chassis) that opens them up and sounds good, there not wattage monsters, just a good overall radio

Not a power radio by any means but they do sound good on SSB.
