Ok guys.... I need some help here! I am about to re due my radio room next week (with the help of my wife and daughter) and I just ordered 3 new work tables. Now... the one table is about 12 feet or so away from where I will have my meters placed. Will a 12 foot jumper be ok to use, and what type (ex RG8X ect) of coax would be best to use for that length?
Thanks for any input you may be able to give!

12' is perfectly fine. In fact, 12' is an optimal length as it is an electrical 1/2 wave (when you consider the velocity factor of the cable). For short jumpers, I like RG-8X, for the flexibility.

I agree. the length is fine and the RG-8X is good. Of course, you can be as insane as I was, and make all the jumpers out of LMR400UF. ;D And I never really worry about the jumper lengths either.
