That's insane! Have people lost their minds? Evidently some people didn't get the memo that there's a recession.......
I might have paid the starting bid price, but no way would I have gone higher.

Ya, $2,025 seems to be a wee bit excessive for that radio. Even though it's "unused" I'd still use a Variac to slowly bring the unit up to operating voltage. Some of those capacitors will probably have to be changed.

Some of those capacitors will probably have to be changed. Based on the pictures, it is certainly clean, but we only have the seller's opinion as to whether it was actually unused or not. It may very well be unused due to an out-of-box failure that was never corrected. So you are still taking a chance, especially for the outrageous selling price........

I bought a new one in the box on ebay last month for about 500.00. Makes me think about selling it. I like it too much though.

How much do you want to bet the guy never sees his $2,025? If there is someone out there that will actually pay that, I have one sitting here in the box waiting for a happy home! ;D

This wouldn't be a problem for me, as I wouldn't be spending that kind of $$$ anyway.

Yeah.... but with my luck someone would want it for almost nothing! Ya, my luck seems to run the same way. If I want it, it's a million dollars. If I'm selling it, it's worth a buck.
