The plug doesn't sound familiar the way you describe it. Most of the Sears radios used a 5 pin din plug like the Realistic radios did and should have the same wiring. That is assuming you are talking about the mic plug and if so, you can find the info you need in the microphone section. The third post down from the top lists a lot of the Sears radios by model number but they should be the same. Attachments:

I believe Ducksoupe is talking about the power connector, not the microphone connector. Try Kens. You can call and ask. www.kenselectronics.com

I've got a Sears Roadtalker 40 SSB "slant face" that is a base/ mobile. I couldn't find the pin outs anywhere on the power input so I traced them out internally.
I found this particular rig had 6 male pins on the rear connector port. Horizontally the top two are for 120VAC and the bottom 4 are for DC.
The top AC 120 VAC two pins went to the internal 120VAC to 14VDC step-down transformer so that was a no-brainer. The DC pins went to the 12VDC/ radio chassis side of the power supply rectifier board.
Not sure about the polarity +/- of the lower 4 pins as far as the 12VDC goes, but you may be able to see if they go directly to the main chassis as a red/ black wire or if the hot+ goes thru a fuse.
The "Slant Face" Roadtalker 40 SSB "tunes up" real easy. These were made by Hitachi for Sears and perform well. Hope you get it going.
