I figured this was a good way of posting any issues/upgrades/changes etc. to the Spew Radio streaming audio servers. For the last few days (looks like since Dec 28th) no one has been able to connect to my server. The gremlin this time was my ISP doing another unannounced change to my IP address. I've already corrected the links found on my website. For those who bookmark the direct link, try this: mms://75.97.115.213:82

They did it to me again! This time my new IP address change occured at the same time I decided to upgrade to a new router. Talk about coincidental confusion Anyway, for those who want to do a direct link the new address is: mms://75.97.113.166:81I had to change the port number because for some reason, my new router would not allow me to use port 82..... The links have been updated on my website for those who use that Spew Radio Inc.

This may happen to you frequently. Verizon has a habit of rotating IP's. Prevents people from running servers from a home account. I'm just glad it only happens to me every 6 months to a year or so.

I've had Verizon for less than a week and I hate it already, IP changed twice in less than 1 week. I can't seem to make the Kenwood work. RB's!

That sucks. You may have a 30 day trial window that if you're not completely satisfied with Verizon you can have the installation reversed without cost??

Good luck with that, especially when the wife likes it. I guess Hytower and Dr Hammer are screwed, I cannot get them access to the radio. Technology is great until it sucks. 441

You could get an internet pipe that was not port blocked, but that would require an "upgrade" to a business package with a corresponding jump in cost.

There may yet be hope, wife is getting annoyed with Verizon, may yet go back to Comcast. At least I know I can make it work there. Verizon says they change their IP's often, so to me it is a non starter from that standpoint. I hope to God the wife changes back, otherwise bye bye Spew III and Kenwood remote. 441 P.S. Stand by for further updates as specifications are subject to change with out notice.
