The hosting company I have been using for years (because they were excellent) was sold to another company, and changed staff, they are now pretty bad, so after they failed to transfer a credit to my account to pay for the WBRS hosting, from cancelling another site I had with them I told them just cancel it as well, if they cannot transfer the money to pay for another invoice on the same account they must be bad...
So I have been moving my sites to other providers, the WBRS was the first to be moved onto this particular provider, and should be back up again for everyone by now.
I will be moving my radiomods site next, that will be interesting !

Some hosting sites offer a service to move you site files and domain intact to their server.

My sites are way too complex for the hosting companies to do it, I have to do it all myself and fix anything that breaks or needs updating in the process.
Just my RadioMods site is over 791MB ! And its database is another 260MB or so.

Ya, that is big. I wish you good luck. If you need a good FTP program, I can recommend Ipswitch WS_FTP Pro.

Now there is a bandwidth exceeded message. I've seen this now for over 2 days. I guess Defpom's new site provider has limitations he didn't figure on.

Depends on the host, too. Today it's odd to see a bandwidth exceeded message, 15 or 20 years ago not so much.

Depends on the host, too. Today it's odd to see a bandwidth exceeded message, 15 or 20 years ago not so much. I've been trying the site several times a day for several days now, and it's always the same message. So I'm led to believe that there is an unusual band of high activity (Asian hackers) trying to hit that site, or that DefPom's new host has a monthly limit on data transferred, and it's been exceeded. That sounds pretty lame, but a seemingly cheap hosting site could put a limit like that in the fine print, and then after the first time you hit it, you discover that you get what you pay for....

Ya, people have gotten blindsided by small print like that before on web hosts. Hope he gets it sorted.

There was a configuration issue on the host, it only allocated the entire package 1GB of bandwidth, when it was supposed to be unlimited, I only discovered the issue yesterday, the hosting company fixed it within a couple of hours.
I now host radiomods, wbrs and my s&m software site on the same hosting package within the same plan, so they all share it.
