Hello fellow Browning radio users. I am wondering if some can give me some insight on how to setup my golden eagle mark 4 I recently got. I have it all hooked up minus the antenna. I have a Antron 99 I will be hooking up and wondering what the procedure is to calibrate swr. It looks like there is an on board setup for this. Thank you in advance. Cheers

I recommend getting an external SWR meter. Most of those on the market also measure RF power in Watts. The built-in SWR meter in that radio is not all that good, and it has no calibration adjustment at all for that meter function.

Agreed, an external SWR meter is the best way to go. You can also use an antenna analyzer to set up your Antron 99, but there is a higher cost to that over an external SWR meter. If you know of anyone with say a MFJ 259, that would be a good way to go also.
