Working on a Golden Eagle receiver 68R. The 250 ohm/4W resistor is bad. While i had the cage off to check it, i noticed someone had changed the 10K/10W resistor. They had put 2 25K/10W parallel. I checked it with my ohm meter & it read 50K ohms. I thought it should have read 25K. I reckon my question is should i change it back to a 10K/10W resistor? Jim/238

Two 25k in parallel should be 12.5k. If they measure 50k, that's wrong.
Replacing it with the original resistance value shown in the diagram would be my first suggestion.

It read 50ohms in the radio, when i cut them off the they read 12.5 ohms. Going to replace with a 10k/10w. Got to get a 250 ohm/4w. Thanks Jim/238
