Not a lot of new 11 meter SSB/AM radios for sale now. Uniden Bearcat 880 & 980. President McKinley. Galaxy DX 2547 (base). Galaxy DX-959 (most are sold out), but Copper Electronics has in stock) and that's about it. Appears Midland is not manufacturing CB radios any longer beyond handheld.

I'm actually amazed anyone is making dedicated CB (11 meter) radios any more.

11 meter CB demand has not dropped off. Manufactures are behind with brisk Spring sales depleting stocks. Even some Ham radio transceivers are on backorder.

If that is true, I wish they'd use the radios. CB Radio traffic in my area is very spotty (when you can find any).

There are at least twenty people give or take that talk local here where I am in Az. Some come and go, but the majority of them are pretty dedicated overall.

Channel 6 by me is useless; too many 'Super Bowl" wannabes with splatter boxes in my area. Luckily I'm far enough away that I don't get them bleeding all over the band.

Channel 6 needs about 5KW and a beam or at least 10KW with vertical antenna to be heard.

My area has about 8 locals that talk nightly.
