Is it possible to stretch the receive on a 2700a to be able to receive channel 30 by tuning anything inside the receiver? Thanks. I’ve done it on other 23 channel tube radios but am looking for what to do on this 2700A if it’s even possible. This receiver is brand new in the box!

Haven't done this in years. The failure of the K-Tran IF transformers makes this model prohibitively expensive to restore once they begin to go bad.
Seems to me this model has a fixed-channel feature with a screw-slot trimmer cap that takes the place of the front-panel tuning control in the receiver's VFO circuit. You set the screw-slot adjustment for the desired "fixed" receive channel.
I remember rewiring the selector to simply add this capacitor in parallel with the front-panel tuning cap at the 'fixed' position of the selector switch. This moves the receive frequency up. The VFO's tuning frequency in this radio is inverted. As the VFO's internal frequency moves down, the receive-channel frequency moves up.
Wiring the selector so the front-panel control stays active, and the screw-slot trimmer cap is added in parallel with it will add channels above 23.
Just don't remember posting any kind of "how-to".
