I just bought a Polytronics Poly Comm Pro Ser# 101 that looks like it has never been used. It joins my Polytronics 6 (Blue Face) and my Polytronics 2 (Red Face). Unfortunetly my shack is in boxes, don"t ask, so space limited right now. Moving on, we all know how things changed on the line, every pic I have looks like photo one, mine has a red knob under "Polytronics"' The manual I have says nothing about it. There is metion of a Q Multilier that peaks the system on page 12 but not of the red knob. I'll bite, what does it do? There is also a "CB Only Tube for 5 Watts" 8327 Vacuum Pentode thru the pi network, ever deal with it, what does it do? Also I have the manual on BAMA, nothing on other versions of the 6 and nothing on the 2 if you care to share. Sorry, won't post the files, says too big.

I cannot find an 8327 tube anywhere, but a 6BQ5 looks like a drop in replacement. The peak-null knob is the Q multiplier. It simply peaks the signal. The item under the logo does nott have a knob. If a small screwdriver adjustment I would not adjust it.
