I have a Mark lll A.M. only transmitter with a Nomad circuit board mod in it that allows you to run a VFO. Which Siltronix works on this? Any 90-3 or 80-3 ? Will a high drive VFO work with this? What is the procedure for tuning the circuit board? The cable that plugs into the VFO is fairly long, would it help to shorten this? This transmitter also has a variable power.

The converter we installed works with a normal Mark 3 SSB VFO, a type "3" Siltronix. It's meant to match the low drive level of a stock Siltronix VFO. A VFO with a buffer amplifier installed will overdrive it unless is has a trimmer pot to reduce the output level down to around 2 Volts peak-to-peak. Works with a Glenn preset to 10.695.
Some versions of the transmitter's internal slider converter had a trimmer pot on the input from the VFO cable. If so, you can turn it down there. The best adjustment is to modulate the radio and set the trimpot just past where the modulated power stops increasing. Naturally, you need to be sure the transmitter's Tune trimmer cap on the rear is peaked.
