Does anyone know if there is a service manual or schematic that exists? Took out the Mosfet and tested it on my transistor checker. Tested good. Put in a new one anyway. Still nothing. I can see it was played with. No wax in the final output coil and remnants of tampering. There are 3 to220 on the right side of the case. It appears the one closest to the back had fried at one point. Looks like it got replaced. Not even sure what it is. Mod tests Ok. No carrier. Not even any ambient signal that can be picked up. What to do?

Gotta figure somewhere in China there is a file cabinet with a schematic, parts placement picture and parts list for that radio. Now if you could just find someone to burgle that office and make off with those diagrams.
I have seen no indication that this info exists on this side of the Pacific ocean.

I think you'll find that one or more of those TO-220s on the side are regulator transistors. It sounds like one needs to be replaced. Good luck...
