I posted a year ago four Radio Shack 1990s CBs that will work due to better capacitor life vs 1970s CBs. NOS Radio Shack (Realistic) are getting harder to source at $50 and less cost.
I created a list of quality under $100 new current manufactured CBs with the receive RF gain that also work very good like the Radio Shack. Under $100 is only on eBay, Amazon are about 30% more cost.
Uniden PRO520XL Pro Series (compact)
RoadKing CB Radio RKCB
Cobra 25LTD (compact)
Cobra 29 LTD Classic
I did not include Midland as they are out of the CB business and support may be an issue. The best bets are the Uniden Cobra 29 LTD and RoadKing RKCB. Best prices are on eBay. I removed Uniden PC68LTX due to poor sounding transmit audio.

I have been seeing advertisements for Midland VHF or UHF radios on Facebook. Also their website is still up; midlandusa.com/

Errr, Midland only sells a handheld CB radio. The mobile line of CBs are out of production.
