Just hotair for someone to do something. Now I am certainly sure a FCC and enforcer comes to every street corner and looks. I would not take it seriously, probably some ancient rules that went out or forgotten about..

I use to be into AM dxing, and one would be surprised on what you hear, I heard California a few times at night, and over 300 stations, using a TESCUN 660 or my ALINCO DX70, never could get the CARIBBEAN stations though, but a lot of fun, even heard some PIRATE stations above 1600. Also off/on listen for pirate stations on 6 MHz, a lot of fun and most qsl via e-mail. DOCTOR/795

Interesting about HY-GAIN. I remember back in 1980 that I had a hygain, cannot remember the model, plain unit off/on/squelch channel changer mic plug. It was converted to ten meters fm , some chap did them for $25 each, worked very good, don't remember what happen to it.
The wireman use to convert cb radios to 10 fm, he did over a thousand if I remember right. Enough rambling. DOCTOR/795

I use to buy maybe 10 years ago on E BAY, never again got stuck with some trash. I find it better to sell on forums or qthdotcom for radios, not with the ebay crowd. DOCTOR/795

In the last few weeks sunspots have been declining fast leaving conditions in a bad stance. Once it flattens out, conditions will be poor for a number of years. This includes 11 METERS and HF bands. It is like FM in the mornings, quiet. DOCTOR/795 Attachments:

PROPAGATION IS POOR this week, I notice on the charts POOR on all frequencies, and I bet this is what to come with the sunspot decline.
Only skip on CB was the taco gang in MEXICO and their signals are dropping some now.
Ham bands the same, EUROPE is a rare signal, although I have heard they have been worked around midnight on 20 meters.

HI GUYS; UNUSUAL thing happened. Last FRIDAY my WI-FI connection from the radio room to the router located in the living room just did not make the trip, and no Wi-Fi to the other computers either. I called the company on SATURDAY since it did not go away the jammer or what ever. They tried all the usual, went into the computer but found nothing. Monday they sent a tech out to investigate, and the chap came to the conclusion it was the router so he brought in a new one and the same thing. Lunch break after an hour of working on the problem. He came back and told me he was on another call, same problem about a mile or two from me. The terminal tech, said since it was on both routers and the same with the other customer change channels on the routers, so they did, and all went back to normal. Who knows where the interference jammer is located. I noticed the router is " MADE IN CHINA", I told the tech it is probably UNCLE HO listening. Anyhow all is well now. DOCTOR/795

TO bad it doesn't have the offset for 10 meter fm, it would be a inexpensive radio for 10 meter repeaters. DOCTOR/795

Reminds me of the old days...channel 2, my 10 meter radio knocked it out and so did 6 meters, I did put a filter on the radio, and it reduced the interference maybe 60 percent, but filters might be better built today than many years ago. DOCTOR/795

By the look of the buildings, and I bet the taxi service was in the 1960", it was on taxi frequency maybe near 145 fm , fixed channel, the FCC moved the service but not sure what year. We had a taxi service who had maybe 25 units and got rid of all of them $10 bucks each, and a twist of peaking, and a set of crystals everybody in town was on 146.52 fm, a lot of fun in those days, yes I owned one for that price, I was on 2 meters... THANKS for the comments, appreciate it. Interesting , yesterday I put 2 more radials on the setup now have 4 radials in a h type of pattern, now my swr climbed 1.3 to 1. I then removed the 2 additional radials and put them over on the same post as the other original , one each on original post, checked swr 1.1 to 1, so left them as is. ANTENNAS are interesting, fun to experiment. HAVE A GOOD ONE DOCTOR/795

I was watching a video on building a cb antenna using a 108 inch whip, easy enough but when it came to putting radials on it, they were 108 inches, not the length that most of the prebuilt antenna with radials are, we all know much shorter. In digesting this, the 108 inch radials make more sense than putting on the commercial radials at least half the size. Any explanations on this... DOCTOR/795
